Commitment to Confidentiality and Privacy

The Foundation for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown protects the personal privacy of constituents by maintaining confidentiality of all constituent information. To ensure the privacy of individuals, organizations, foundations, and corporations, constituent information will be released only after consent is obtained from the constituent. Exceptions are made only for the purposes of advancing the Foundation through resource development efforts that require constituent information to identify donor prospects, develop strategies, present gift proposals and ensure proper stewardship of donors and volunteers. In general, the Foundation is guided by "A Code of Christian Ethics” and the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights are incorporated into the administrative policy and our day-to-day work.  The Foundation does not trade or sell any donors personal information (name, address, phone, e-mail, giving history, etc).  Donors who do not wish to be publically recognized shall remain anonymous.
